UW-Stout freshman Sam Elsner won the discus at the UW-River Falls Falcon Invitational with a throw o167-feet, 8-inches and was selected as the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) field athlete of the week.

The UW-Stout men's track and field team finished second at the UW-River Falls Ivnitational Saturday, with first place finishes by Zach Anderson (110-hurdles, 15.4), Peyton Shedd (pole vault,15-4.25) and Sam Elsner (discus, 167-8).

Laurisa Titterud took the top spot in the 800-meter run at the Ashton May Invitational hosted by UW-La Crosse Saturday. Both the UW-Stout women's team and the UW-Stout men's team placed fourth at the meet.
