UW-Stout true freshman Grant Magnuson not only broke the Blue Devil 800-meter record, he obliterated it at the Carius/Gregory Invitational Friday at North Central College. Magnuson took more than three seconds off the school record when he finished in a time of 1-minute, 50.70-seconds, breaking Matt Message's 2015 record of 1:53.96. Blue Devils were scattered throughout the Upper Midwest Friday, competing at UW-La Crosse, North Central College and the University of St. Francis.
